Harold Budd’s debut, ‘Glyph’, does not fit easily into one genre. Harold Budd was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Harold Budd and Glyph together. This disc has all of the essential Harold Budd classics. Exciting stuff.
This track is a great song that still never gets old. Best song on the album, love it. Around The Corner From Everywhere is a bit of a show-tune. Gorgon’s Anxious Pansy is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Listening to Johnny Cake you can hear that Harold Budd has still amazing chemistry with band members. Reflected In The Eye Of A Dragon Fly - arguably the best track on Glyph album. As Fast As I Could Look Away She Was Still There is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This track is full of harmonies and gets Glyph off to a relaxing start. The Aperture is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.
