It has been six years Harold Budd and Zeitgeist’ last studio CD, “She Is A Phantom” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. While no new Harold Budd and Zeitgeist album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in North America. Lead single “Breathless.I” and “Pantomime” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Smart music for smart people.
In Pantomime the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. The False Attribution is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Nearly Awakened - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Tiny Hands, Big Ideas is possibly the best song Harold Budd and Zeitgeist has come up. Emboldened - My Dreams Perish is one of my favorite songs by Harold Budd and Zeitgeist. A Lazy Smile is perfect song though, very addictive. I Blink And She’s Gone can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Harold Budd and Zeitgeist is all about. Harold Budd and Zeitgeist breathes new life into the music in We Step Across. Like Perfume - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Harold Budd and Zeitgeist rocks harder than ever with Handsome. The Spineless. Laurel is excellent work of Harold Budd and Zeitgeist. She’s By The Window is absolutely incredible. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. You have to get essence of the She Has The Glassy’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
