For older fans Hazir will put a massive smile accross your face. This disc has all of the essential Hariharan and Ustad Zakir Hussain classics. Lead single “Jiya Jiya Na Jiya” and “Jo Bhi Dukh” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Another great offering from Hariharan and Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Jo Bhi Dukh one is one of the better boring ones. Zindagi Jaam Se is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Some of the arrangements found on Hazir are surprisingly edgy. Phool Hai Chand Hai is one of the coolest songs Hariharan and Ustad Zakir Hussain has ever recorded. Lyrics of Shahar Dar Shahar are precise and evocative. The song Agar Yakin Ahi Aata ending is my favorite… so catchy! Strong, powerful vocals of Hariharan and Ustad Zakir Hussain in Dard Ke Rishte are very impressive.
