This is the first studio album from Hardcore - Various Artists since bad diagnosis in 1995. It has been eight years Hardcore - Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Happy Hardcore 5″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is so much to love about Hardcore - Various Artists, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album is a scorcher!
Blew our minds when we first heard The promised land (DJ Paul Elstak). This is probably my favorite song on the album. Let it (Short hard disco mix; Dr. Phil Omanski) is a bit different from Hardcore - Various Artists stereotypical stuff. Here we go (Playing the house; No velocity) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Give all your love (Discofrisco & DJ Inferno) is a perfect sing-along. Emerald (DJ Dougal & Mickey Skeedale) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. A great put together song. As always, Hardcore - Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Liberty (Bueno) is a fine track on any terms. Album opener Don’t make me cry (Fiction factory) is a bright, upbeat ditty. All I ever wanted (DJ Fury) gives taste of what makes Hardcore - Various Artists special as a musician. Keep it up (Radio mix; Nina Feranzano & Buzz Fuzz) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Everybody (Hard; Mac project) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. There is marvelous mix of music in Givin’ it all I got (DJ Vibes & Wishdokta). Walk of life (T-Bass & Centigrade) was the first single release from the album Happy Hardcore 5.
