five years ago, Hardcore - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Rainbow In The Sky (DJ Paul Elstak)”. Lead single “The Sequel (La La La; Club X)” and “Rainbow In The Sky (DJ Paul Elstak)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There were many famous songs of Hardcore - Various Artists available. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Happy Hardcore 3 CD1.
Rainbow In The Sky (DJ Paul Elstak) is the albums biggest surprise. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I now have Right Here (No Velocity) as one of my personal favorites. It’s A Dream (Short Dream Remix (Los Pablos) is a perfect, simple song by Hardcore - Various Artists at the top of his game. Show Me Love (Citadel Of Kaos Featuring Dave Ja) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Keep It Up (Nina Feranzano & Buzz Fuzz) is perfect. This track is clearly meant to showcase Hardcore - Various Artists’s vocal abilities. Everytime I Think Of You (Wicked Dimension) is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. In Please Don’t Go (Ferocious) it becomes nowhere more obvious that Hardcore - Various Artists has yet to define own style. Ride To The Rythm (Radio Mix; Cixx) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. It’s a great pleasure to listen to C’Mon And Touch Me (Rave Religion) from the beginning to the end. XTC Love (Radio Mix 1; Bertocucci Feranzano) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Dance To Da Bells (D-Jumpmaster) is amazing work of Hardcore - Various Artists. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Breakdown (The Prophet & DJ Delirium). Drop It (Happy Mix; 3 Steps Ahead) is Hardcore - Various Artists’s best work in years.
