four years ago, Hans Zimmer briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “God Damn You Hale”. While no new Hans Zimmer album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in South America. On Broken Arrow (sfx score) album, Hans Zimmer have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Broken Arrow (sfx score) touched my soul like nothing else.
The first time I listened to God Damn You Hale I was struck by its exquisite sound. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Broken Arrow (sfx score) is The Truck. Once The Cruise gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. One listen to the sheer beauty of The Boat - The Demands was all I needed. The Butterflies which is my favorite is a truly Hans Zimmer sounding song. We re 10 Minutes Behind is simple, dignified and effective, Hans Zimmer refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Arming the Nuke - a classic song. This track is clearly meant to showcase Hans Zimmer’s vocal abilities. In The Mine Fight full palet of sound is used by Hans Zimmer to accentuate the presentation. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Catching the Trucks. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. The Chopper Destroyed is astounding. I hope to keep hearing Hans Zimmer works for a long time to come. The Chopper is Hans Zimmer’s best work in years. You can find feelings on this piece of art. I love the melodic melody of Deakins Appears and to this day it makes me feel good. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Broken Arrow (sfx score). This song stands out greatly from the others. Tthe Sar Team is amazing work of Hans Zimmer. We ve Got Pilots Down is probably the highlight of the album. Musically The Mission Begins is superior to other tracks in Broken Arrow (sfx score). Hans Zimmer is hitting on all cylinders in Secured. The Stealth is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. I loved Main Titles - The Fight the first time I heard it.
