When you buy a Gurdjieff album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There is no doubt that Gurdjieff has talent. There is so much to love about Gurdjieff, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Religious Ceremony and Prayer and Despair is really good.
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. I hope to keep hearing Gurdjieff works for a long time to come. Hymn for a Great Temple - This is a very lively song. The Story of the Resurrection of Christ is simply gorgeous. Hymn to Endless Creator is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I believe Hymn for Easter Thursday is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Hymn - arguably the best track on Sacred Hymns (Keit Jarrett) album. The first time I listened to Hymn for Good Friday I was struck by its astounding sound. Such hits like Orthodox Hymn from Asia Minor will leave you hooked. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Holy Affirming - Holy Denying - Holy Reconciling is one of the best records ever. Easter Night Procession is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Easter Hymn is one of my favorite songs by Gurdjieff. As always, Gurdjieff’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.
