Since Govi last CD (Cuchama) on Sparrow Records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. Now signed to Govi’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Cuchama” leads Govi’s back-to-school campaign. It has been six years Govi’ last studio CD, “Cuchama” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Smart music for smart people.
Child’s Play great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Spirit Rider is absolutely incredible. I hope to keep hearing Govi works for a long time to come. Govi allows each song to breathe and flourish. Govi offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Sangria is astounding. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Inner Sky. Chili on Your Huevos is the albums biggest surprise.
