After debuting at No. 1 last week, Gipsy Kings’s album Estrellas falls to No. 2 with 103,000, a sales slide of 93%. Gipsy Kings was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Gipsy Kings and Estrellas together. After seeing La Rumba De Nicolas, I had to have a good Gipsy Kings cd. La Rumba De Nicolas and A Ti A Ti is really good.
In A Ti A Ti Gipsy Kings spins a tale you want to hear to the end. If you are a Gipsy Kings fan, you will love Siempre Acaba Tu Vida. When listening to Forever (instrumental), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. A fantastic track full of wonder. In Campesino it becomes nowhere more obvious that Gipsy Kings has yet to define own style. In Cataluna (instrumental) you won’t find any flashy solos. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Igual Se Entonces because the melody in the chorus is so good. Pajarito - another great track from the Estrellas album. Tierra Gitana (instrumental) is probably the most interesting track on Estrellas. A Tu Vera is a striking and quite long song. Mi Corazon is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Estrellas (instrumental) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty.
