On Older album, George Michael have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Self-described as Pop with lots of words, George Michael comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. There were many famous songs of George Michael available. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
I came to like Fastlove. Older is a cool, simple song by George Michael at the top of his game. Spinning The Wheel is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. It Doesnt Really Matter - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Older. To Be Forgiven is the song that really did it for me. As always, George Michael’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Some call Star People from Older as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. You Have Been Loved is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Blew our minds when we first heard Free.
