Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Garth Brooks comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since Garth Brooks last CD (The Chase) on ForeFront Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is no doubt that Garth Brooks has talent. IT makes me wanna dance!
Some of the arrangements found on The Chase are surprisingly edgy. Strong, powerful vocals of Garth Brooks in Every Now and Then are very impressive. Walking After Midnight without a doubt is the standout song of The Chase. What sets Dixie Chicken apart is Garth Brooks’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I listened to the opening track Learning To Live Again and liked it a lot. Within the first few notes of That Summer it’s perfectly clear that Garth Brooks is living this song. Something With A Ring To It is outstanding work of Garth Brooks. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song.
