This is one of the best Cd’s Gamelan Gong Gede has dropped to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Gamelan Gong Gede energies, virtually a rebirth. Gamelan Gong Gede was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Gamelan Gong Gede and Gamelan Gong Gede of Batur Temple together. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Lelambatan tabuh pitu, “Lasem”
Lelambatan tabuh pitu, “Lasem” is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Lelamabatan tabuh kutus, “Sembiran” is one of these floating songs.
