Accelerator isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since completing 1992’s ‘Expander’, Future Sound of London fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to Future Sound of London’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “Accelerator” leads Future Sound of London’s back-to-school campaign. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Future Sound of London ever.
Stolen Documents is one of my favorite songs by Future Sound of London. While Others Cry - arguably the best track on Accelerator album. Calcium is possibly the best song Future Sound of London has come up. What sets It’s Not My Problem apart is Future Sound of London’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Papua New Guinea is the more seemingly obscure song on Accelerator that bear up best to repeated listening. Still going through Accelerator and coming to appreciate Moscow more and more with every listen. I’ve found myself listening to 1 In 8 back to back and back many times. The sound in Pulse State is really warm and Future Sound of London’s signature voice is still very much present. Accelerator couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Central Industrial. Get Accelerator and turn on Expander (Remix) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Future Sound of London must have run out of lyrics on the next track Moscow (Remix). This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
