Self-described as Dance with lots of words, Fred Ventura comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the first studio album from Fred Ventura since bad diagnosis in 1990. ‘Imagine’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Imagine is not something you should pass up.
Fred Ventura has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Once you hear Imagine, you will listen to it over and over. Vocals of Fred Ventura in Late Night Train really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. You have to get essence of the Leave Me Alone (Swedish Remix)’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Never Too Late hits the heart. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Day After Day is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. No More Lies - To me, this is the best song on the Imagine. Zeit (Long Mix) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Fred Ventura released so far. You’ll Never Change No More is exquisite song though, very addictive. Years (Long Mix) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. One Day - My least favorite song on this album.
