Fred Hersch had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Fred Hersch’s album Red Square Blue: Jazz Impressions of Russian Composers falls to No. 2 with 575,000, a sales slide of 93%. There is no doubt that Fred Hersch has talent. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Andante
Andante is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Fred Hersch offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. In Canzona you won’t find any flashy solos. Etude, Op. 8, No. 2 is one of these floating songs. Prelude Op. 9, No. 1 - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
