Lead single “For Once In My Life” and “Come Fly With Me” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Duets II isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On the Lithuania charts, superstar Frank Sinatra’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Voice of Frank Sinatra in Come Fly With Me is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. When I listen to Bewitched in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. The Best Is Yet To Come is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Duets II. Moonlight In Vermont is astounding. All of songs on Duets II and have something to say letting alone Fly Me To The Moon. Listening to Luck Be A Lady you can hear that Frank Sinatra has still amazing chemistry with band members. I think A Foggy Day is the best song Frank Sinatra has ever done. Where Or When - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Embraceable You good vocals. Mack The Knife is a fine track on any terms. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: How Do You Keep The Music Playing / My Funny Valentine, which shows, blatantly, how much Frank Sinatra has evolved as a singer. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. The House I Live In (That’s America To Me) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor.
