Scotland - World Network 32 is an amazing album, racked with beauty. It has been nine years Folk - Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Scotland - World Network 32″ which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. On Scotland - World Network 32 album, Folk - Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I wish that “Scotland - World Network 32″ album was instrumental.
No Folk - Various Artists song has come close to capturing my attention as Catriona MacDonald & Ian Lowth did. Catherine-Ann MacPhee - A Nigh makes a person feel excellent. One listen to the sheer beauty of Catherine-Ann MacPhee - S’Flin was all I needed. I like Phil Cunningham - Jackson’s Se because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Dick Gaughan - Such A Parcel O is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Sileas - The Dusty Windmill is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
