Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Folk - Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Folk - Various Artists’s new album to that on ‘Chinese Bamboo Flute Music’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It has been fifteen years Folk - Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Chinese Bamboo Flute Music” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Chinese Bamboo Flute Music.
This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. A Tayal Folk Song is a great opener for Chinese Bamboo Flute Music. Best song on the album, love it. After about the third Go Dating With My Love listen through, I began to believe this song is Folk - Various Artists’s essence. The Maidens Of The Tea Mountai is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Chatting With An Old Friend By is one of the more up-tempo songs on Chinese Bamboo Flute Music. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. The Crab and The Egret is the first taste of the new album.
