On Celtic Twilight album, Folk - Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album has some very good songs like Farewell and Eastlander. As always, Folk - Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Musically Diamond Dance is superior to other tracks in Celtic Twilight. The sound of Women Of Ireland is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Once Windhorse gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Some of the arrangements found on Celtic Twilight are surprisingly edgy. Skye Boat Song still maintains something of a specific flourish. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Still going through Celtic Twilight and coming to appreciate Lassie With The Golden Hair more and more with every listen.
