On the Lithuania charts, superstar Folk - Various Artists’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Folk - Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Folk - Various Artists and Arirang together. Arirang carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album is a scorcher!
What sets Kin Arirang apart is Folk - Various Artists’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Milyang Arirang sets the tone for the entire album. Jindo Arirang is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Simple and heartfelt closing track Kkol-mang-tae Arirang closes Arirang on a high note. Arirang - Screen Mono-Distation as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Kin Arirang II is a amazing sing-along. Voice of Folk - Various Artists in Kin Arirang III is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. The sound of Arirang - Kayakum Uni-Song is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I can’t stop humming along New Arirang. Arirang is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. After few listenings I started to like Arirang II more and more. Arirang III is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.
