Ain’t That a Shame is a excellent song and it grows on you. All by Myself is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Bad Luck and Trouble is exquisite song though, very addictive. I like the idea behind Be My Guest. I hope to keep hearing Fats Domino works for a long time to come. Music and lyrics of Blue Monday creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Fats Domino has astounded me with this amazing track. Bo Weevil - A classic Fats Domino track. This track is full of harmonies and gets They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings off to a relaxing start. Careless Love is a medium tempo tune. The sound in Country Boy is really warm and Fats Domino’s signature voice is still very much present. Dance With Mr. Domino is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. You have to get essence of the Darktown Strutters’ Ball’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Did You Ever See a Dream Walking? is the albums biggest surprise. Do You Know What It Means to Miss New… gives good insight into the truths. Domino Stomp (Twistin’ the Stomp) to me is the best you can get from Fats Domino. A unique and uplifting song. Don’t Come Knockin’ - Check out that bassline! Don’t Deceive Me is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Don’t Lie to Me the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Don’t You Know I Love You is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Don’t You Know I Love You1 is almost impossible to review. Every Night About This Time is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Fell in Love on Monday is a perfect sing-along. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Going to the River is a bit different from Fats Domino stereotypical stuff. Good Hearted Man actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Fats Domino’s face. It’s such an underrated song. Some call Honey Chile from They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I Can’t Go On (Rosalie) is the first taste of the new album. Fats Domino is one of artists that allow his songs like I Hear You Knockin’ to stand on their own and be heard. I Know makes a person feel excellent. I Still Love You - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Fats Domino sings his heart out in I Want You to Know. I Want to Go Home on They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings is solid and easy to listen to. The opening track I Want to Walk You Home is very much like you would expect from other albums. When I listen to I’m Gonna Be a Wheel Someday in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. I’m Ready is beautiful, yet underrated track. I’m Walkin’ is nothing but pure genius. What sets I’m in Love Again apart is Fats Domino’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Lyrics of I’ve Been Around are precise and evocative. Ida Jane is a good listen every once in a while. If You Need Me (Version 2) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. It Keeps Rainin’ is probably the most interesting track on They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings. It’s You I Love sets the tone for the entire album. Within the first few notes of Jambalaya (On the Bayou) it’s perfectly clear that Fats Domino is living this song. After about the third La-La (Version 1) listen through, I began to believe this song is Fats Domino’s essence. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Let the Four Winds Blow is one of these floating songs. Li’l Liza Jane is outstanding work of Fats Domino. Vocals of Fats Domino in Little Bee really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. A fantastic track full of wonder. Love Me is a very catchy tune. I loved Mardi Gras in New Orleans the first time I heard it. Margie (Version 2) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. My Blue Heaven has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. My Girl Josephine is absolutely incredible. In My Happiness the music gets its power. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Natural Born Lover pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings. After you’ve listened to Nothing New, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. One Night - I like this one. Music of Please Don’t Leave Me is gentle, never overbearing. Only one song from They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings named Poor Me really got me. Put Your Arms Around Me, Honey is simple, dignified and effective, Fats Domino refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Rockin’ Bicycle is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Rose Mary (Version 2) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Sailor Boy is a great opener for They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings. Set Me Free (The Twist Set Me Free; Version 2) is one of the more up-tempo songs on They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings. No Fats Domino song has come close to capturing my attention as She’s My Baby did. Shu Rah can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Fats Domino is all about. Don’t judge Sick and Tired on the first listening. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Stop the Clock is my favorite song on They Call Me the Fat Man- The Legendary Imperial Recordings. Swanee River Hop gives taste of what makes Fats Domino special as a musician. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Fats Domino. Telling Lies very upbeat. The Big Beat has a fun tempo. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is The Fat Man because the melody in the chorus is so good. The Rooster Song as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Three Nights a Week - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. There is astounding mix of music in Valley of Tears. Wait and See - For me, this is the best of the album. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Walking to New Orleans. What Will I Tell My Heart? is one of my favorite songs by Fats Domino. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. This is one hell of a track. Voice of Fats Domino in What’s the Reason (I’m Not Pleasing You?) is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. When I See You is a fine track on any terms. When My Dreamboat Comes Home one of the best in my collection. Fats Domino allows each song to breathe and flourish. Although Where Did You Stay? is very melodic it is far from sad. A great put together song. Yes, My Darling I just LOVE this mix! You Can Pack Your Suitcase has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Fats Domino’s strong vocals come to the fore. It took me a little time but I ended up loving You Win Again. Your Cheatin’ Heart still maintains something of a specific flourish.
