Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Evol on ‘Through Foggy Plains and Mysti’. Since Evol last CD (The Saga Of The Horned King) on Virgin Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. After seeing Through Foggy Plains and Mysti, I had to have a good Evol cd. Smart music for smart people.
The Saga Of The Horned King - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. The Return Of The Horned King is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Evol ever produced. Strong, powerful vocals of Evol in The Feast are very impressive. The Present Age has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. In The Eve the music gets its power. The first time I listened to The Chant Of The Witch I was struck by its marvelous sound. Sorrow Of The Witch - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Vocals of Evol in Prologue really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy.
