thirteen years ago, Erasure briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Heavenly Action (Single Edit)”. After seeing Who Needs Love Like That (Single Edit), I had to have a good Erasure cd. Since Erasure last CD (Pop The First 20 Hits) on Mute Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Heavenly Action (Single Edit) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Oh L’amour (Single Edit) is pretty funky and mellow. Sometimes is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. It Doesn’t Have To Be (Single Edit) - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Victim Of Love (Remix) is a bit different from Erasure stereotypical stuff. First time I heard The Circus was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.In Ship Of Fools you won’t find any flashy solos. When I listen to Chains Of Love (7” Remix) in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. A Little Respect is cool work of Erasure. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Drama! because the melody in the chorus is so good. You Surround Me is a very catchy tune. Blue Savannah is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Star which is my favorite is a truly Erasure sounding song. When listening to Chorus, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Love To Hate You - A strong beat. Am I Right marked the continuation of Erasure in style evolution. Breath Of Life (3:56) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Take A Chance On Me one of the best in my collection.
