Ivan Grach has compared writing for Ennio Morricone’s new album to that on ‘A Fistful Of Film Music: Anthology (CD 2)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best Cd’s Ennio Morricone has dropped to date. There is so much to love about Ennio Morricone, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is one of Ennio Morricone best albums
Simple and heartfelt closing track March Of The Beggars closes A Fistful Of Film Music: Anthology (CD 2) on a high note. Senza Motivo Apparente is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Il Mio Nome E Nessuno is the more seemingly obscure song on A Fistful Of Film Music: Anthology (CD 2) that bear up best to repeated listening. I believe Moses Theme (Main Title) is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Ennio Morricone allows each song to breathe and flourish. Gli Scatenati gives taste of what makes Ennio Morricone special as a musician. Il Gatto one of the best in my collection. Robodog has a fun tempo. Listening to Cavallina A Cavallo you can hear that Ennio Morricone has still amazing chemistry with band members. La Tragedia Di Un Uomo Ridicolo is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Chi Mai one is one of the better boring ones. Sinfonia D’Una Citta, Pt. II is worth the money. Ennio Morricone rocks harder than ever with Cockeye’s Song. No Ennio Morricone song has come close to capturing my attention as On Earth As It Is In Heaven did. Al Capone is a bit of a show-tune. It’s a great pleasure to listen to The Untouchables (End Title) from the beginning to the end. From American Sex Appeal To The First Fellini good vocals. You have to get essence of the Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Act Of Faith - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.
