Black Moon carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Lead single “Black Moon” and “Paper Blood” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Emerson, Lake and Palmer on ‘Black Moon’. Enjoy the show.
Paper Blood is the albums biggest surprise. Overall a nice softer song. Romeo And Juliet - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Music in Farwell To Arms is cool as in all tracks of Black Moon. A fantastic track full of wonder. Burning Bridges still maintains something of a specific flourish. I like Close To Home because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. One listen to the sheer beauty of Better Days was all I needed. When I listen to Footprints In The Snow in my car when traffic ain’t going so good.
