John Digester has compared writing for Electronic - Various Artists’s new album to that on ‘Planet Patrol - Electric Funk Pt.1′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. seven years ago, Electronic - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Release Yourself (Aleem)”. Planet Patrol - Electric Funk Pt.1 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Unappreciated gift to Electronic
Release Yourself (Aleem) (4:34) - awsome. Clear (Cybotron) is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. The song feels complete. Megamix II Why Is It Fresh (Grandmixer D.ST.) is pretty funky and mellow. Al Naayfish(The Soul; Hashim) is absolutely incredible. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Skanless Electric Funk Mega Mix (Juice ‘The Electric Wire’) is a very catchy tune. This is one hell of a track. Play at Your own Risk (Planet Patrol) marked the continuation of Electronic - Various Artists in style evolution. Mirda Rock (Technofunk) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Electric Kingdom (Twilight 22) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
