Jim Kirkwood - Tower Of Darkness isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Electronic - Various Artists last CD (Jim Kirkwood - Tower Of Darkness) on SixSteps records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been five years Electronic - Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Jim Kirkwood - Tower Of Darkness” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. One of Electronic - Various Artists’s best albums yet.
I like the agression and power of Perilous Ground. Timestream is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Requiem For An Immortal is the more seemingly obscure song on Jim Kirkwood - Tower Of Darkness that bear up best to repeated listening. Legion Of Dawn which is my favorite is a truly Electronic - Various Artists sounding song. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.
