On The Very Best of Edith Piaf album, Edith Piaf have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is so much to love about Edith Piaf, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lead single “La Vie, L’amour” and “La Vie en Rose” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. La Vie, L’amour and La Vie en Rose is really good.
Edith Piaf rocks harder than ever with La Vie en Rose. Milord is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. I hope to keep hearing Edith Piaf works for a long time to come. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Le Vieux Piano from the beginning to the end. Polichinelle is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Album opener Toujours Aimers is a bright, upbeat ditty. L’Effet Que Tu Me Fais presents the amazing mix of instruments on The Very Best of Edith Piaf. Edith Piaf is one of artists that allow his songs like Mon Manege A Moi to stand on their own and be heard. Mon Dieu is another strong production from Edith Piaf. Edith Piaf emotions are reflected through Hymne A L’amour. In T’es Beau, Tu Sais it becomes nowhere more obvious that Edith Piaf has yet to define own style. I have all of Edith Piaf’s tracks and Bravo Pour le Clown! is probably the most his introspective effort. A great put together song. This is one hell of a track. When listening to Avant Nous, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Le Goulante De Pauvre Jean - A classic Edith Piaf track. This track is clearly meant to showcase Edith Piaf’s vocal abilities. Sous Le Ciel de Paris is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Le Bleu De Tes Yeux - a classic song. Strong, powerful vocals of Edith Piaf in Notre Dame De Paris are very impressive. Le Croix is one of the best records ever. Nice and different song.
