sixteen years ago, Donnisulana briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Terzini Guagnesi (Trad.)”. ‘Per Agata’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is so much to love about Donnisulana, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Exciting stuff.
I was truly moved when I heard Terzini Guagnesi (Trad.). Diafunia (M. Raffaelli) - My least favorite song on this album. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. This track is clearly meant to showcase Donnisulana’s vocal abilities. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Get Per Agata and turn on U Ventu (M. Raffaelli) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Per Agata. S’o To Passi (Trad.) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Paghjelle (Trad.) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Da Qui Un Cantu (M. Raffaelli) is another favourite of mine. Padre (Trad.) is simply gorgeous. If you are a Donnisulana fan, you will love Princantula (M. Raffaelli).
