While no new Dinosaur Jr. album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Asia. There is so much to love about Dinosaur Jr., starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Dinosaur Jr. energies, virtually a rebirth. Dinosaur Jr. “I’m Doin’ Fine” is an amazing album.
|titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in I’m Doin’ Fine. What Else Is New - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Dinosaur Jr. rocks harder than ever with Quick Sand. Goin Home - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Severed Lips is the albums biggest surprise. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Flying Cloud is one of my favorite songs by Dinosaur Jr.. On The Run is a good listen every once in a while. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on I’m Doin’ Fine. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Throw Down is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Dinosaur Jr. ever produced. Repulsion - To me, this is the best song on the I’m Doin’ Fine. Quest - Okay, I just talked about depth. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Get Me - My least favorite song on this album.
