‘Freakin’ Live!’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Dinosaur Jr. was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Dinosaur Jr. and Freakin’ Live! together. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Dinosaur Jr.’s album Freakin’ Live! falls to No. 2 with 195,000, a sales slide of 61%. Smart music for smart people.
Hickory Wind is probably the most interesting track on Freakin’ Live!. Budge - another great track from the Freakin’ Live! album. Severed is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Raisans is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Although Thumb is very melodic it is far from sad. Freak Scene catches attention immediately, Water is the song that really did it for me. Dinosaur Jr. has astounded me with this amazing track. The Lung (4:41) a good melody. First time I heard The Wagon was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.I have all of Dinosaur Jr.’s tracks and Kracked is probably the most his introspective effort. Tarpit is gorgeous work of Dinosaur Jr..
