Diana Krall’s debut, ‘Only Trust Your Heart’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since Diana Krall last CD (Only Trust Your Heart) on Savoy Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is no doubt that Diana Krall has talent. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Only Trust Your Heart.
Only Trust Your Heart has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Broadway is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Once you hear Folks Who Live On The Hill, you will listen to it over and over. I’ve Got The World On A String is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Squeeze Me good vocals. Diana Krall offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. CRS Craft is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Diana Krall ever produced.
