Since Debussy, Claude last CD (Complete Music for Solo Piano (Gordon Fergus-Thompson) CD1) on Capitol Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. When you buy a Debussy, Claude album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There is so much to love about Debussy, Claude, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Reverie and Suite Bergamasque - 1. Prelude is really good.
Get Complete Music for Solo Piano (Gordon Fergus-Thompson) CD1 and turn on Suite Bergamasque - 1. Prelude if you are going to sip your wine late at night. In Suite Bergamasque - 2. Menuet full palet of sound is used by Debussy, Claude to accentuate the presentation. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Suite Bergamasque - 3. Clair de Lune is my favorite song on Complete Music for Solo Piano (Gordon Fergus-Thompson) CD1. Suite Bergamasque - 4. Passcpied is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I love the melodic melody of Images Oubliees - 1. Lent (melancolique et doux) and to this day it makes me feel good. I find myself hearing bits of Images Oubliees - 2. Tres Vite here and there throughout my waking hours. Pour le Piano - 1. Prelude I just LOVE this mix! As always, Debussy, Claude’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. I can’t stop playing Pour le Piano - 3. Toccata. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Images. Book 1 - 1. Reflets dans l’Eau. Images. Book 1 - 2. Hommage a Rameau is one of my favorite songs by Debussy, Claude. Images. Book 1 - 3. Mouvement - This is a very lively song. Images. Book 2 - 1. Cloches a Travers les Feuilles is the funkiest number on the album. Images. Book 2 - 2. Et la Lune Descend sur le Tempe qui Fut is such a cool and optimistic song that things can get just better. Images. Book 2 - 3. Paissons d’Or is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
