This disc has all of the essential Death In June classics. This is the first studio album from Death In June since bad diagnosis in 1992. There is no doubt that Death In June has talent. If I may, I suggest “Death Is The Martyr Of Beauty”. That one song is amazing!
He’s Disabled - A nice song. The Mourner’s Bench is Death In June’s best work in years. Because Of Him - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Daedalus Rising is the most memorable and excellent. Little Black Angel is perfect. The Golden Wedding Of Sorrow is a exquisite song and it grows on you. The Giddy Edge Of Light is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Ku Ku Ku is one of these floating songs. This Is Not Paradise is probably the highlight of the album. Hollows Of Devotion - To me, this is the best song on the But What Ends When The Symbols Shatter. But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter still maintains something of a specific flourish.
