‘The Gallery’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lead single “Punish My Heaven” and “Silence, and The Firmament Withdrew” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Dark Tranquillity has astounded me with this amazing track. Edenspring sets the tone for the entire album. The Dividing Line is one of the best records ever. The Gallery has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. The One Brooding Warning - a classic song. I’ve found myself listening to Midway Through Infinity back to back and back many times. Lethe make listening to Dark Tranquillity like being in some sort of time warp. The sound of The Emptiness From Which I Fed is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Mine Is The Grandeur… - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. In …Of Melancholy Burning the music gets its power.
