When you buy a Dana Gillespie album, you know exactly what you’re getting! It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Dana Gillespie energies, virtually a rebirth. Since Dana Gillespie last CD (Blue One) on ForeFront Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is a scorcher!
Blue Temptation stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Once In A Blue Moon is Dana Gillespie’s best work in years. Scream Blue Murder - A classic Dana Gillespie track. Blues Line is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Full Circle Blues catches attention immediately, Blue Moves is a excellent sing-along. No Dana Gillespie song has come close to capturing my attention as Blue Papa did. Music in Blue Room is exquisite as in all tracks of Blue One. Blues Is All I Ever Knew is another favourite of mine. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Although Blue Lights is very melodic it is far from sad. Big Daddy Blues is perfect. Where Blues Begins is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
