Lead single “Deja Vu” and “Guinnevere” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Self-described as Instrumental with lots of words, Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young last CD (So Far) on Mute Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is my first Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young Album and i must say i am blown away.
Get So Far and turn on Guinnevere if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes - Okay, I just talked about depth. Helplessly Hoping is probably the most interesting track on So Far. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young sings Teach Your Children in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Ohio (3:05) a good melody. Find The Cost Of Freedom as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. All of songs on So Far and have something to say letting alone Woodstock. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Helpless - My least favorite song on this album.
