Lead single “Winter Song” and “Comin’ Back Soon (The Bereft Man’s Song)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Now signed to Crash Test Dummies’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “The Ghosts That Haunt Me” leads Crash Test Dummies’s back-to-school campaign. The Ghosts That Haunt Me is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Crash Test Dummies is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Comin’ Back Soon (The Bereft Man’s Song) - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Crash Test Dummies. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. I came to like The Country Life. I’ve found myself listening to Here on Earth (I’ll have my Cake) back to back and back many times. Don’t judge The Ghosts That Haunt Me on the first listening. Thick-Necked Man is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Androgynous - I like this one. The Voyage - This one makes me want to not only sing along. At My Funeral gives taste of what makes Crash Test Dummies special as a musician.
