This disc has all of the essential Consono classics. Consono’s debut, ‘Hymns Of Deceased Deities’, does not fit easily into one genre. Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Consono comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Smart music for smart people.
Remembrance - A strong beat. Voice and instruments in Dead God’s Book complement each other. For There Is No Answer is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Hymns Of Deceased Deities have ended. Beyond The Ocean is one of my favorite songs by Consono. Hymns Of Deceased Deities couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Onus Uteri. To The First and The Last is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Unspeakable Life has a fun tempo. All of songs on Hymns Of Deceased Deities and have something to say letting alone Demoniaque. Aleph pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Send Your Dreams I just LOVE this mix!
