Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano on ‘The Highs Are Too High’. Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. I am not a real Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Pretty and Twisted’ really is amazing. Such great and happy songs.
One listen to the sheer beauty of Mother of Pearl was all I needed. The sound in Souvenir is really warm and Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano’s signature voice is still very much present. Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. I Ride is Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano’s best work in years. Train Song (Edge Of Desperation) is another strong production from Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano. Stranger - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. In Singing Is Fire Concrete Blonde - Johnette Napolitano spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Don’t Take Me Down is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Come Away With Me is perfect song though, very addictive. Dear Marlon Brando is almost impossible to review. This song may be the most meaningful. Watching The Water is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
