Since completing 1995’s ‘Limbo Jazz’, Coleman Hawkins fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Coleman Hawkins. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Coleman Hawkins’s album Duke Ellington Meets Coleman Hawkins falls to No. 2 with 190,000, a sales slide of 99%. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Coleman Hawkins ever.
Mood Indigo has a fun tempo. Ray Charles’ Place - Okay, I just talked about depth. Wanderlust - For me, this is the best of the album. Blew our minds when we first heard You Dirty Dog. Self Portrait (Of The Bean) - This is a very lively song. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Lyrics of The Ricitic are precise and evocative. The sound of Solitude is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
