On Unnatural History album, Coil have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. ‘Unnatural History’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. I am not a real Electronic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Unnatural History’ really is amazing. I wish that “Unnatural History” album was instrumental.
In The Swelling Of Leeches it becomes nowhere more obvious that Coil has yet to define own style. Coil rocks harder than ever with The Pope Held Upside Down. His Body Was A Playground For The Nazi Elite hits the heart. Excellent vocals and musical performances. I listened to the opening track Here To Here (Double Headed Secret) and liked it a lot. S Is For Sleep - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. A great put together song. Never is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Sicktone to me is the best you can get from Coil. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
