eight years ago, Cliff Richard briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Blue Turns To Grey”. This is one of the best Cd’s Cliff Richard has dropped to date. While no new Cliff Richard album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1993 tour in South America. 40 Golden Greats CD2 is not something you should pass up.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Visions is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Wind Me Up (Let Me Go) - This is a very lively song. A great put together song. Constantly one of the best in my collection. Nice and different song. I Could Easily Fall (In Love With You) is the more seemingly obscure song on 40 Golden Greats CD2 that bear up best to repeated listening. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on 40 Golden Greats CD2 is The Day I Met Marie. Once All My Love gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Excellent vocals and musical performances. I think Throw Down A Line is the best song Cliff Richard has ever done. Goodbye Sam, Hello Samantha is a medium tempo tune. Sing A Song Of Freedom is another favourite of mine. Power To All Our Friends had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with (You Keep Me) Hangin’ On. Miss You Nights presents the cool mix of instruments on 40 Golden Greats CD2. Devil Woman is worth the money. I Can’t Ask For Anymore Than You is beautiful, yet underrated track. My Kinda Life is another strong production from Cliff Richard.
