It has been ten years Clay Walker’ last studio CD, “If I Could Make a Living” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. If I Could Make a Living carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. There is so much to love about Clay Walker, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album is in perfect progression from Clay Walker!
Melrose Avenue Cinema is the song that really did it for me. My Heart Will Never Know is the funkiest number on the album. What Do You Want For Nothin’ can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Clay Walker is all about. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Boogie Till The Cows Come Home is nothing but pure genius. Music of Heartache Highway is gentle, never overbearing. You Make It Look So Easy is simple, dignified and effective, Clay Walker refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. The first time I listened to Lose Your Memory I was struck by its marvelous sound. Money Ain’t Everything motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. The song feels complete.
