There is no doubt that Claus Ogerman and Michael Brecker has talent. This disc has all of the essential Claus Ogerman and Michael Brecker classics. Lead single “Cityscape” and “Habanera” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I wish that “Cityscape” album was instrumental.
I believe Habanera is one of the most cool, heartfelt songs ever written. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Claus Ogerman and Michael Brecker. In the Presence and Absence of Each Other (Pt. 3) (Alt. Mix) catches attention immediately, In The Presence And Absence Of Each Other (Part 3) gets you up and jumping. Nightwings - To me, this is the best song on the Cityscape.
