Self-described as Classical with lots of words, Classical - Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Classical - Various Artists energies, virtually a rebirth. one years ago, Classical - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Gia il possente monarca (Nadabbe)”. Classical - Various Artists “Sedecia, re di Gerusalemme” is an amazing album.
Gia il possente monarca (Nadabbe) is the funkiest number on the album. This track is a great song that still never gets old. O qual strano timore (Sedecia) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Si, che il barbaro tiranno (Sedecia) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Tanto sperar degg’io (Nadabbe, Sedecia, Ismaele) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. The first time I listened to Del mio cor nel piu segreto (Ismaele) I was struck by its gorgeous sound. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Classical - Various Artists. Se il generoso cor (Anna) is probably the highlight of the album. Nei cimenti l’uom saggio (Sedecia, Anna) is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. L’empia sorte (Sedecia) is Classical - Various Artists’s best work in years. Classical - Various Artists is hitting on all cylinders in Sinfonia (Orchestra). Put Del signor d’Israele (Nabucco) into car stereo for your highway driving This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Il nitrito dei fieri cavalli (Ismaele) - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This is one hell of a track. All of songs on Sedecia, re di Gerusalemme and have something to say letting alone Vado, e il nome altero (Nadabbe). Arrida, o chiaro Duce…; Va, ma torna vincitore (Anna) (2:24) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Within the first few notes of Su, su, miei fidi (Nabucco) it’s perfectly clear that Classical - Various Artists is living this song. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Mio diletto Ismaele (Anna, Ismaele) - Classical - Various Artists first major hit. Caro figlio (Anna, Ismaele) is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Ahime, lassa, che veggio? (Anna, Ismaele) was the first single release from the album Sedecia, re di Gerusalemme. Overall a nice softer song. SECONDA PARTE. Denso stuol dei miei pensieri (Anna) is another strong production from Classical - Various Artists. Ma qual nuovo fragore (Anna, Ismaele) is worth the money. Don’t judge Doppio affetto (Ismaele) on the first listening. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. This song may be the most meaningful. Music in Tolga, benigno fato (Anna) is exquisite as in all tracks of Sedecia, re di Gerusalemme. Nelle tue cure estreme (Anna) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Classical - Various Artists released so far. The opening track Ah, troppo e il Ciel (Sedecia) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Per punire il mio pubblico errore (Sedecia) have really caught my ear and imagination. From the moment you listen to Ma Nadabbe dov’e (Sedecia, Anna) you’re hooked. In Come la tua costanza (Anna) full palet of sound is used by Classical - Various Artists to accentuate the presentation. Ferma, ferma, infelice re (Nabucco) makes a person feel cool. Va, d’Egitto ai regi indegni (Nabucco) is a bit different from Classical - Various Artists stereotypical stuff. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Fermati, o barbaro (Ismaele) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. When listening to O di tenera prole (Nabucco, Ismaele, Anna), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Classical - Various Artists rocks harder than ever with Caldo sangue (Ismaele). I now have Oh Dio, sento che morte (Anna) as one of my personal favorites. Col tuo velo i lumi miei (Anna, Sedecia) - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. O del morto mio figlio (Anna) is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Charming song, great melody. Classical - Various Artists has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. I have all of Classical - Various Artists’s tracks and Sedecia, per pieta di tue sconfitte (Nabucco) is probably the most his introspective effort. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Gite pur, che assai vedeste (Sedecia) from the beginning to the end. Vieni, o infelice re (Nabucco) - For me, this is the best of the album. Io v’adoro, o mie ritorte (Nadabbe) good vocals. Ma lasso, io ben comprendo (Sedecia) is the first taste of the new album. Orsu, fidi campioni (Nabucco) - A nice song. This track is full of harmonies and gets Sedecia, re di Gerusalemme off to a relaxing start.
