This disc has all of the essential Chicago classics. Chicago’s debut, ‘Night and Day’, does not fit easily into one genre. It has been nine years Chicago’ last studio CD, “Night and Day” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album is a scorcher!
From the moment you listen to Caravan you’re hooked. Dream A Little Dream Of Me (with Jade) is possibly the best song Chicago has come up. In Goody Goody Chicago is at his best. Moonlight Serenade is simple, dignified and effective, Chicago refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Night and Day is a excellent, simple song by Chicago at the top of his game. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Sing, Sing, Sing (with The Gipsy Kings) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. I listened to the opening track Sophisticated Lady and liked it a lot. I’ve found myself listening to In The Mood back to back and back many times. Don’t Get Around Much Anymore - To me, this is the best song on the Night and Day. Chicago breathes new life into the music in Take The “A” Train.
