Since Chicago last CD (Chicago: 25 Years of Gold) on Sparrow Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Chicago energies, virtually a rebirth. IF YOU LIKE ALL Chicago’S SONG GO FOR IT! Chicago “Chicago: 25 Years of Gold” is an amazing album.
In If You Leave Me Now the music gets its power. I’ve found myself listening to Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? back to back and back many times. A unique and uplifting song. Just You ‘n’ Me is a gorgeous, simple song by Chicago at the top of his game. Saturday In the Park is astounding. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Colour My World. Wishing You Were Here is perfect. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. No Tell Lover is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Make Me Smile is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. After few listenings I started to like Another Rainy Day In New York City more and more. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Chicago. Feelin’ Stronger Every Day is just simply stunning. A great put together song. In (I’ve Been) Searching So Long the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Hard Habit to Break the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. As always, Chicago’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.
