This disc has all of the essential Charlie Musselwhite classics. Since Charlie Musselwhite last CD (Signature) on SixSteps records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Charlie Musselwhite on ‘Make My Gataway’. This album is awesome.
Blues Got Me Again gets you up and jumping. Mama Long Legs is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Strong, powerful vocals of Charlie Musselwhite in 38 Special are very impressive. It’s Gettin’ Warm In Here is one of these floating songs. What’s New is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Hey! Miss Bessie is gorgeous and different song. Me and My Baby and The Blues is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Catwalk is the first taste of the new album. This track is full of harmonies and gets Signature off to a relaxing start.
