twelve years ago, Charles Michael Brotman briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Paradise Isle”. On Mango Cooler album, Charles Michael Brotman have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Charles Michael Brotman on ‘Mango Cooler’. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Charles Michael Brotman ever.
Paradise Isle (3:57) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Merchant Street is Charles Michael Brotman’s best work in years. Heart Of Gold is the song that really did it for me. One listen to the sheer beauty of Badinage was all I needed. Kam Hiway is one of my favorite songs by Charles Michael Brotman. Street Dance is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Pacific Sunrise is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. After The Fall - To me, this is the best song on the Mango Cooler.
